The Mysterious Search
It is a Tuesday evening. Max is at home in his room, but he has a big problem. He wants to drive somewhere, but he cannot find his car key. He looks first in the kitchen. He looks on the table and in the drawers, but there is nothing there. After that, he looks in the living room. He looks under the large sofa. Something is actually lying there, but it is not a key. It is a small, blue note. Max picks up the note and reads the text: “Go into the garden and look under the old tree!”
Max is surprised, but curious. He goes outside into the garden immediately. It is already dark, and the wind is blowing slightly. He walks to the large apple tree. There is a small, old wooden box in the grass. Max carefully opens the lid of the box. But unfortunately, the key is not inside. Instead, he finds a red apple and a second, yellow note. On the yellow note it says: “The key is not here. Go quickly into the cold garage!”
Max runs to the garage. He opens the door and turns on the light. His car stands dark and quiet in the corner. He opens the driver’s door and looks at the seat. On the black leather seat lies a small white envelope. Max takes the envelope and opens it with trembling hands.
Finally the key falls out! It shines in the light of the lamp. Max takes a deep breath and laughs out loud. Now the trip can begin.
