Felix schaut Lea an.

Sie sprechen viel zusammen. Die Zeit vergeht schnell. Felix will bezahlen. Er fragt: „Lea, hast du heute Abend Zeit? Gehen wir einen Kaffee trinken?“

Lea freut sich. Sie sagt: „Ja, sehr gerne. Um sechs Uhr bin ich fertig.“

Felix geht kurz nach draußen. Lea lächelt den ganzen Tag. Sie ist glücklich.

English Translation

A New Beginning in the bookstore

It smells like coffee. It is raining outside. But in the small bookstore, it is warm and bright. Lea stands at the counter. She is putting books on the shelf. She has been working here for a long time.

At four o’clock, the door opens. A young man comes in. He is wearing a wet coat. He smiles and says: “Good day! The storm is strong.”

Lea smiles too. She says: “Good day! An umbrella is good today.”

The man’s name is Felix. He is new to the city. He is looking for a book about old houses. Lea shows him the shelf. They stand very close together. Lea hands him the book. Their hands touch. Felix looks at Lea.

They talk a lot together. Time passes quickly. Felix wants to pay. He asks: “Lea, do you have time this evening? Shall we go drink a coffee?”

Lea is happy. She says: “Yes, I’d love to. At six o’clock I am finished.”

Felix goes outside briefly. Lea smiles all day long. She is happy.
