English Translation

Leo lives in the year 2150. He lives on Earth, but his dream is space. Today is a big day. Leo is flying to Mars!

At six o’clock in the morning, the alarm clock rings. Leo gets up quickly. He packs his suitcase. In the suitcase are a photo of his family, three T-shirts, and a computer.

He goes to the space station. The station is very big and white. Robots are flying everywhere. A robot says, “Good morning, Leo. Your flight starts in one hour.”

Leo gets into the rocket. The spaceship is called Sternenwind (Stellar Wind). He sits down in his seat and buckles up. A red light flashes.

“3, 2, 1 … Launch!”, calls a computer voice.

The rocket makes a loud noise. Whoosh! It flies very fast upwards. Leo looks out the window. The Earth is getting smaller and smaller. It looks like a blue ball in the dark universe.

After ten minutes, it is quiet. Leo floats a little bit in the cabin because there is no gravity here. That is fun! He presses a button at the window and sees the red planet. Mars is wonderful.

The computer says, “We are landing in five minutes.”

Leo is happy. He is now an astronaut. His new adventure begins!
